This month I have no booking. At first it scared me because it just been 10 years that I had not faced a situation like this. When I started my career as a full time trainer, it was always like this. It seemed normal then. Later on I got full time consulting jobs and part time consulting jobs and finally I started my own company. Now that i closed down my company, gave up all consulting jobs, I am where i started before. The only difference is that i am much more knowledgeable and skilled.
I needed to take this 10 year break because i lacked so much knowledge about the world of business and people. At times i think i got more than i gave but then again it doesn’t matter as long as i did my job.
now i am a business of my own. I am my own brand. I have to sell myself.
I guess this career is most suitable for me for the rest of my life because i love leisure and free time. I need to read, workout, write. If my company had succeeded I would not be living this life. Instead I would be signing cheques and documents, maneuvering people, policies. I just guess it wasn’t for me.
I need lots of free time. It is just my nature. The last 10 years i had many things to do, i didn’t have so much free time as now. I needed money then to build a house, buy a car, save money for the future. now it is done. it was done already 3 years ago but i had a desire inside of me to start a company. So i had to complete this karma. I did.
I have my foundations for me as a a business:
- daily videos showcasing my knowledge and insights which are my products
- daily email marketing campaign
- pipeline of sales call and visits
So it is not that bad. In fact in my life nothing was bad.
