Training: what’s the impact?

I’ve trained more than ten thousand people in life, success, management, attitude. But all the while I was asking myself, how did it impact their lives? I had a working philosophy that since the same clients kept inviting me and paying me more every year for the same amount of time, then I must be making a difference. Also the companies I touched made more profits, recovered more money, had more teamwork, significantly decreased discipline related problems being reported to me. But I didn’t know the mechanics of the impact of my training.

Then one day like all ideas it came.

Training is like a seed. The mind of participants is like a field. When they come in my workshop, they allow me to put my seeds in their head and heart. That seed may grow or may die. It may even germinate many years after.

Like some seeds are better than others at growing and surviving than others, my seeds have more impact than that of others.

Of course once the participants leave my workshop, I will have no way to garden their minds but my gardening work would have influenced their lives, that of enough people , may be 90%.

This insight made me happy and gave me relief.

I now knew how my work influenced people.
