We all want to be ceo. But few know what they are trying to sign up for.
My finding is that ceo s are paid to make decisions. How does that sound to be paid millions to sit, think, read, listen and decide? Cool? But surely most are not cut for such a regiment.
I prefer being paid for building systems, leading, training, coaching.
Others might prefer to make sales, close accounts, make customers happy, keeping accounts, maintaining systems.
Still others might prefer to be paid for taking pictures, dancing, staying fit.
So before wishing to be the boss, ask yourself do you really want to be paid to decide?
